Anotace:
Předmět umožňuje hlouběji pochopit náboženské jednání jednotlivce a náboženské instituce v (post)moderní společnosti a seznamuje s metodami, které nabízí ekonomická analýza k jejich studiu. Po úspěšném absolvování budou studenti schopni perspektivou ekonomie vysvětlit podstatu náboženského jednání jednotlivce a náboženských institucí a kriticky zhodnotit vhodnost použití ekonomických metod k jejich studiu. Studenti budou též schopni analyzovat vývoj náboženských fenoménů v čase a prostoru a jejich ekonomické souvislosti. V neposlední řadě se budou také schopni orientovat i v dalších společensko-vědních oborech, které se studiem náboženství zabývají.

Požadavky:

- ústní závěrečná zkouška (váha 50 %); proběhne na konci května 2013
Literatura: Základním textem předmětu je kniha Larry Witham: Marketplace of the Gods – How Economics Explains Religion, Oxford University Press, 2010 (v ISISu). Dalšími texty, nutnými ke zkoušce, jsou povinné články k jednotlivým tématům (viz níže).
Zkouška: Předmět je zakončen ústní zkouškou ve zkouškovém období. Okruhy ke zkoušce jsou totožné s tématy jednotlivých týdnů (viz níže). Obsahem zkoušky je rozhovor nad Vaší prací a látka probraná v kurzu v průběhu semestru, dále základní učebnice (Witham: Marketplace of the Gods) a povinné texty k jednotlivým tématům (viz níže).
Upozornění: při psaní seminární práce platí standardní postupy citování (tj. doslovné citace vždy do uvozovek s uvedením zdroje v poznámce; parafráze v uvozovkách být nemusí, ale jejich zdroj je nutné uvést vždy, nejlépe do poznámky pod čarou či jiným způsobem přímo do textu – seznam literatury na konci práce bez rozlišení míst, kde jste dané zdroje použili, není dostatečný). Seminární práce má být odborným textem, nikoli jiným žánrem (NE: esej, úvaha, slohové cvičení, meditace na dané téma, ani cokoli jiného).
